ECW

ECW stands for Episcopal Church Women.  All Episcopal women are invited to participate in this ministry.  ECW hosts annual fundraising events to support local ourtreach in Mineola and the surrounding communities.  They meet 2-3 times a year to plan and administer their fundraising activities.  In prior years, this included salsa sales, raffled items, bake sales and other events. Outreach includes assistance to those stranded needing gas for transportation, food pantry needs or lodging, school supplies and a variety of other ministerial needs.  The Church of St. Dunstan works with several other organizations to provide a network of assistance to those in need (see Local Outreach).  The ECW is an integral part of this effort.

Lectors
During the service the lectors read the Old Testament, guide the congregation through the Psalms and read the Epistle (New Testament) prior to the Gospel reading.  They serve on a rotating basis.

Ushers
Prior to the service, ushers hand out service booklets and bulletins as they welcome parishioners.  They also receive the offerings and present them to the celebrant at the offertory.  Ushers prepare the outer altar for communion and assist parishioners as they ascend and descend the steps during communion. They serve on a rotation basis with two people each Sunday.
