Acolytes

The Acolyte ministry serves to assist the priest at the altar during mass. The acolytes light the candles, carry the processional cross, hold the Bible during the reading of the Gospel, and administer the wine during communion. The acolyte leads the congregation in the recitation of the Creed and reads the prayers of the people. Participants in this ministry serve on a rotation basis.
